The heater is located at the top of the unit allowing heat to cascade down in front of the glass. The TRD-44 includes two 10 piece birch log sets. The log set includes birch logs, charcoal grey fire glass media and two bags of vermiculite (black and white). The remote control is included. Unit can be operated with the remote control, or with the app. Flame color options are red, orange, and yellow. Mix and match flame colors to taste. The TRD has a programmable timer & thermostat, which allows you to decide the temperature of the room.
